Trader consensus on the Lucknow maximum temperature for September 9 centers on 33–34°C because the India Meteorological Department forecasts a 34°C high under generally cloudy skies turning partly cloudy, with only a low chance of light rain or drizzle. Recent heavy monsoon showers on September 8 capped the observed high at 31.6°C, but reduced rainfall activity is expected to permit modest warming. Differentiating the two leading outcomes hinges on cloud cover duration and any afternoon convection, which could limit solar heating enough to keep the peak at 33°C rather than allowing it to reach 34°C. Updated IMD guidance and real-time observations tomorrow will clarify the outcome.
