Cruz Hewitt, the 17-year-old Australian ranked near 615, faces German John Sperle in the ITF M25 Troisdorf clay-court first round. Hewitt holds a clear ranking edge and has shown steady progress through junior and early professional events, while Sperle, aged 24 and ranked around 780, draws on local knowledge and prior ITF experience on European clay. With no prior head-to-head meetings, the matchup hinges on Hewitt’s baseline consistency and movement against Sperle’s familiarity with the surface and conditions. Recent form favors the younger player’s trajectory, though clay-court adaptation and early-round fatigue remain variables in this lower-tier professional draw.
