The Philadelphia Phillies (40-33) visit the Washington Nationals (39-35) for a three-game NL East series at Nationals Park beginning June 22, with both clubs positioned just behind Atlanta in the division and vying for wild-card spots. The Phillies enter after dropping their most recent outing to Miami, while Washington has shown recent momentum with a four-game win streak. Probable starters include Jesús Luzardo for Philadelphia and a mix of Nationals arms such as Zach Littell, highlighting rotation depth and bullpen reliability as key variables. Home-field factors at Nationals Park, combined with the tight standings gap and head-to-head history in divisional play, shape trader assessments of series and individual game outcomes. Late roster adjustments or weather could also influence late-inning scenarios.
