The upcoming October 9–10, 2026, municipal elections in Brno feature a fragmented field of party and coalition candidates for mayor, with the city council selecting the winner afterward. Recent pre-election coalition agreements, including one among ANO, Žít Brno, KDU-ČSL, and the Greens favoring Petr Vokřál, alongside ODS/TOP 09’s replacement of the incumbent with Kamila Zlatušková and ANO’s selection of Václav Trojan, reflect ongoing alliance-building and candidate positioning. A pending court challenge to election validity adds procedural uncertainty ahead of the vote. With no dominant frontrunner and multiple viable paths to a council majority, trader consensus prices remain tightly clustered, as shifts in local polling, additional endorsements, or late campaign developments could alter individual prospects before the first council session.
