The upcoming October 9–10, 2026, municipal elections in Liberec feature a fragmented field of candidates from parties including SLK (Starostové pro Liberecký kraj), ANO, ODS, and smaller groupings, keeping implied probabilities tightly clustered near even odds for leading contenders. SLK’s Lukáš Hájek holds the highest positioning after the party’s recent council gains and the August 2026 selection of Jaroslav Zámečník as mayor via coalition agreement with ANO and ODS. Other named figures such as Tomáš Paleček, Jiří Veselka, and Tibor Batthyány draw support from competing lists, while the presence of numerous additional options reflects broad candidate registration and voter choice across slates. Recent council realignment and policy priorities on infrastructure, parking, and public services have not yet produced decisive separation, leaving the outcome sensitive to final turnout and coalition negotiations after results.
