This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed country officially recognizes Israel as a state between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of intentions will not suffice to resolve this market to "Yes." Only a government's formal recognition of the State of Israel will count toward a “Yes” resolution for this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official government information. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.US diplomatic pressure under the Trump administration, including linkage of a Saudi civil nuclear agreement to normalization with Israel, represents the primary near-term catalyst for potential new recognitions by December 31, 2026. Riyadh has consistently conditioned any such step on progress toward a Palestinian state, a stance reinforced by domestic public opinion and regional statements, while similar barriers apply to Syria, Lebanon, and other Arab League or OIC holdouts. Kazakhstan’s 2025 accession to the Abraham Accords and Israel’s recognition of Somaliland illustrate the scope for largely symbolic expansions among states with prior ties, yet no additional formal recognitions have occurred in 2026. Trader assessments reflect the narrow window for breakthroughs amid entrenched positions on Palestinian issues, US incentives, and the absence of scheduled high-level summits or votes that could accelerate diplomacy before year-end.
