Top-seeded Mirra Andreeva, world No. 10, faces unseeded Elena-Gabriela Ruse, ranked No. 87, in the Upper Austria Ladies Linz semifinals on indoor clay. Andreeva advanced yesterday with a gritty three-set quarterfinal win over Sorana Cirstea (7-6(4), 4-6, 6-2) after beating Sloane Stephens in the round of 16, building on her strong 14-6 YTD record. Ruse rides momentum from upsets over Jelena Ostapenko in quarters—saving a set point—and earlier victories including Barbora Krejcikova, marking her deepest WTA 500 run. Andreeva holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge, winning 6-3, 6-4 at Australian Open 2026 R32 on hard courts. Traders weigh Andreeva's superior ranking and baseline consistency against Ruse's aggressive forehand and upset form in a best-of-three matchup resolving on completion.
