Top-seeded Mirra Andreeva holds a clear edge entering her Upper Austria Ladies Linz semifinal against unseeded Elena-Gabriela Ruse on indoor clay, bolstered by a 1-0 head-to-head win at the 2023 French Open and her 16-6 record this year, including a straight-sets quarterfinal victory over Sorana Cirstea yesterday after a late wild-card entry. Ruse carries upset momentum, rallying past Dayana Yastremska in the round of 16 and Jelena Ostapenko 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 in the quarters for her 12-8 season mark, showcasing improved baseline resilience. With no reported injuries and Andreeva's top-10 ranking versus Ruse's lower standing, trader consensus reflects the Russian's surface history and efficiency in converting second-serve points, though Ruse's recent form signals upset potential in this WTA 500 last-four clash.
