Alina Charaeva enters as the clear favorite in this Open Capfinances Rouen Métropole qualifying first-round matchup on indoor clay, holding a WTA ranking of 126 compared to Mina Hodzic's 412, reflecting superior experience at higher levels including recent Challenger-level wins earlier in 2026. Charaeva, a 23-year-old Russian right-hander, boasts a 9-7 year-to-date record with strong early-season form, while German counterpart Hodzic, also 23 with a one-handed backhand, has competed primarily on the ITF circuit with modest results. No head-to-head history exists, but Charaeva's higher Elo rating and clay-court adaptability underpin trader consensus toward her advancement, barring any late withdrawals or upsets common in qualifiers. The match, scheduled for April 11 on Court 1, advances the winner toward the WTA 250 main draw.
