Zeynep Sonmez, the No. 1 seed in Porsche Tennis Grand Prix qualifiers ranked No. 76 WTA with a career-high of 69, holds a decisive edge over local wildcard Victoria Pohle, an 18-year-old German ranked around No. 940 entering her WTA-level matchup on indoor clay. Sonmez enters with a 10-8 record this year, highlighted by a third-round run at the 2026 Australian Open, showcasing consistent form against higher competition, while Pohle has limited pro experience mostly on ITF circuits and recent qualifier losses. No head-to-head history exists, but trader consensus reflects Sonmez's surface versatility and ranking advantage amid Pohle's home crowd boost and youth potential in this first-round qualifier scheduled for April 11. No injury reports or withdrawals noted, with resolution on match completion.
