Zeynep Sonmez enters as the heavy trader favorite against wildcard Victoria Pohle in the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix qualifying first round on indoor clay at Stuttgart's Porsche Arena, driven by a massive ranking gap—Sonmez at WTA No. 76 with a 10-8 record this year, including a third-round run at the Australian Open 2026, versus Pohle's No. 919 peak and limited senior experience as an 18-year-old German. No head-to-head history exists, but Sonmez's recent form against higher-ranked foes like Belinda Bencic in Miami underscores her edge in consistency and power. Pohle's local crowd support offers upset potential, though her ITF-level background tempers expectations ahead of this best-of-three-sets matchup.
