Vera Zvonareva advanced to the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix qualifying final with a straight-sets 6-3, 6-3 win over Victoria Jimenez Kasintseva on indoor clay yesterday, showcasing solid baseline play and serving from the 41-year-old veteran ranked No. 338. Facing her is No. 223 Gabriela Knutson, who grinded out a 2-1 victory against Carole Monnet in the prior round, highlighting resilience but exposing three-set vulnerabilities in recent ITF W75 events. Their first head-to-head pits Zvonareva's extensive WTA experience—including clay finals—against Knutson's youth and higher ranking. No injuries reported; the winner enters the main draw versus elite seeds like Iga Swiatek, with trader sentiment weighing form momentum and surface familiarity.
