Third-seeded Alexander Zverev holds a clear edge entering his third-round clash with Zizou Bergs at the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters, buoyed by his strong clay-court pedigree including multiple deep runs at this ATP Masters 1000 event, despite a gritty comeback win over qualifier Cristian Garin (4-6, 6-4, 7-5) in his first clay match of the season yesterday. Bergs, ranked around No. 47, arrives with momentum after stunning 13th seed Andrey Rublev 6-4, 6-1 in the second round, showcasing improved baseline play and serving on the slow Monte Carlo clay. With no head-to-head history, traders weigh Zverev's superior rankings, power game, and experience against Bergs' upset form and potential fatigue from qualifiers; mild 18°C weather favors steady rallying, though no injury concerns alter the dynamic.
