Mattia Bellucci enters as the clear trader favorite against qualifier Andrea Guerrieri in the Monza Challenger round of 16 on outdoor clay, reflecting his superior ATP ranking of No. 79 versus Guerrieri's No. 360 career high. Bellucci advanced with a straight-sets win over Dusan Lajovic (7-6(5), 6-4) in the first round, showcasing strong serving and baseline play, while Guerrieri grinded through qualifiers—beating Radu Albot and Federico Bondioli—before dispatching Guy Den Ouden 6-4, 6-2. Guerrieri holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge from a 2022 indoor hard ITF match, but Bellucci's recent Challenger-level experience and home-crowd momentum on clay tilt sentiment his way, though Guerrieri's lefty qualifier surge adds upset potential. No injury concerns reported ahead of the April 8 matchup.
