Zeynep Sonmez, the No. 76-ranked top qualifier seed with a 10-8 YTD record including an Australian Open third-round run, holds a clear edge over No. 945 wildcard Victoria Pohle in their Porsche Tennis Grand Prix qualifying opener on indoor clay. The 23-year-old Turkish right-hander brings WTA-level experience and a career 96-66 clay ledger, contrasting the 18-year-old German's 8-5 2026 form primarily from ITF events (1-2 indoor hard recently). No head-to-head exists, with no injuries reported; Pohle gains home-crowd support in Stuttgart, but Sonmez's superior ranking, movement, and recent wins over players like Beatriz Haddad Maia underscore trader focus on her advancement potential.
