Peyton Stearns holds a slim 53.5% implied probability edge over Jaqueline Cristian in their Miami Open second-round clash, driven by her breakout hard-court form this season, including a 250-level title in Austin and a gritty first-round upset of Elise Mertens in three sets. Cristian counters with steady baseline play, dispatching Xiyu Wang in straight sets, and a higher ranking (No. 51 vs. Stearns' No. 67), creating tight trader consensus in this first head-to-head matchup on fast outdoor hard courts. Momentum tilts slightly to the American with home-crowd boost and aggressive serving (67% first-serve points won recently), but Cristian's return game (42% break rate) keeps it balanced; odds could shift on pre-match warmups or early-set dominance.
