Tommy Lishman enters the Players Championship 27 matchup with Connor Scutt carrying strong recent momentum from Challenge Tour successes and consistent local event wins, where he has posted competitive averages above 85 and multiple titles in 2026. Scutt, a more established PDC Tour Card holder ranked around 45th, has shown inconsistency on the ProTour floor with several early exits in recent Players Championship events and mixed results against lower-ranked opponents. Lishman’s aggressive scoring and finishing under pressure align well with the shorter-format dynamics of these tournaments, supporting trader consensus on his 76% implied probability as the favorite in this opening-round clash. No major injury concerns affect either player.
