After an initial magistrate judge rejection on January 22, a superseding indictment led to his January 30 arrest in Los Angeles and February 13 not-guilty plea in Minnesota federal court, where he was released without bail. While some co-defendants saw charges dropped in March and April due to mistaken identity or procedural issues, no such relief has occurred for Lemon, whose defense—bolstered by a former federal prosecutor—faces DOJ persistence, reflected in trader consensus implying slim odds of dismissal absent a major court ruling.
