Mercedes holds an 87-point lead in the 2026 Constructors' Championship after 12 rounds, driven by eight race wins and consistent double podiums from Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, who have combined for strong qualifying and points hauls across the season. This early dominance and reliability edge have shaped trader consensus around an 86.5% implied probability for the Silver Arrows. McLaren's recent upgrade packages and consecutive victories have narrowed the pace gap, while Ferrari remains competitive on certain weekends. A sustained McLaren surge, Mercedes reliability setbacks, or late-season development swings could still allow challengers to close the gap before the final race.
