This aligns with pre-event 9-day forecasts projecting around 29°C under mainly fine conditions transitioning to showers from a nearby cold front and thunderstorms over Guangdong, consistent with early May's normal to above-normal temperatures amid subtropical high pressure influence. Realistic challenges are minimal post-measurement, limited to rare data revisions from quality checks or instrument recalibrations, though preliminary readings from automated stations carry high reliability. Final monthly verification expected soon.
