RC Lens holds a commanding six-point lead in the Ligue 1 table over Lille and Marseille after 28 matches, with a superior +27 goal difference and one game in hand on most challengers, fueling trader consensus at 86.5% implied probability for second place. A dominant 4-0 home win over seventh-placed Monaco on matchday 34—ending the visitors' nine-game unbeaten run—further solidified their position, extending a strong defensive record amid PSG's comfortable lead atop the standings. Recent form shows resilience despite Lille's 3-0 upset victory a week prior. Realistic challenges include Lens dropping points in remaining fixtures against Toulouse, Nice, and Nantes, coupled with flawless runs from the tight top-six pack (Lille, Marseille, Monaco, Lyon) before the May 31 finale.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve to the team officially recognized by Ligue 1 as finishing in second place. If multiple teams are officially awarded second place, the market will resolve to the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish 2nd in the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season (e.g. they are mathematically unable to achieve enough points), the market will resolve to "No".
If the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season is cancelled, postponed after May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 2nd place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The primary resolution source will be official information from Ligue 1. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
