MVK Esports enters the Esports World Cup Asia-Pacific Qualifier playoffs Bo3 against Ground Zero Gaming with stronger recent form in LCP 2026 Split 2, where they secured a 2-0 sweep over GZ on May 12 and reached the top four overall after a seventh-place finish in Split 1. Ground Zero, an Australian LCP side, showed early promise by taking a 2-1 series win against MVK in February but has struggled to match that consistency in subsequent matches. Key factors include MVK’s superior macro execution and roster cohesion in the current patch, contrasted with GZ’s reliance on individual carries from players like 1Jiang and Orca. The double-elimination bracket structure places high stakes on adaptation to the meta and draft priority, with MVK holding the edge in head-to-head results and split standings entering this matchup.
