Atlanta Braves enter the series with a dominant 41-20 record and NL East lead, fueled by strong recent pitching and timely offense, while the Blue Jays sit at 29-32 and have dropped their last three. In the June 2 opener at Truist Park, Atlanta rallied for a 4-3 win behind Bryce Elder’s bounce-back outing and Matt Olson’s tiebreaking homer. Toronto’s Kevin Gausman allowed four runs over six innings. Multiple Blue Jays starters, including Max Scherzer and Dylan Cease, remain on the injured list, limiting rotation depth. The three-game set continues with home-field advantage and rested bullpens shaping the remaining matchups.
