The Tampa Bay Rays hold a commanding lead in the AL East with a 36-23 record, fueled by strong recent pitching and a 14-2 surge earlier this season that included a series win over the Red Sox in May. Boston sits at 26-35, last in the division, after inconsistent results and offensive struggles. The clubs meet for a three-game set June 8-10 at Tropicana Field, where the Rays' home advantage and rotation depth could prove decisive. Key Rays bullpen arms like Craig Kimbrel remain on the injured list, while Boston's lineup seeks momentum from recent wins against Cleveland. Standings position and divisional implications shape the competitive backdrop for these matchups.
