The Minnesota Twins, sitting at 29-34 and third in the AL Central, host the Kansas City Royals (24-38, fifth place) in a three-game series at Target Field, giving Minnesota home-field edge against a Royals club that is just 9-21 away. Kansas City enters with notable roster challenges, including INF Jonathan India on the injured list following season-ending shoulder surgery and LHP Kris Bubic sidelined with an elbow issue, while Maikel Garcia remains day-to-day with a hamstring strain. The Royals took two of three from the Twins in their earlier April matchup, but recent form and travel factors favor the Twins' steadier lineup and pitching depth in this divisional contest.
