This market will resolve to “Over” if more than 5.5 games are played during the 2026 NBA Playoffs First Round series between the Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Lakers. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “Under”. If a partial series is played and not completed by May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve according to the number of games played. If the 2026 NBA Playoffs are cancelled, postponed after May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NBA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Lakers' star guards Luka Dončić (Grade 2 hamstring strain) and Austin Reaves (oblique), sidelined since early April, loom as the primary uncertainty heading into this Western Conference first-round matchup, with both facing re-evaluation ahead of Game 1 on April 18 in Los Angeles. Despite the depleted roster, trader consensus tilts slightly toward Over 5.5 total games at 52.5% implied probability, reflecting LeBron James' playoff pedigree at age 42, home-court advantage (2-2-1-1-1 format), and the Rockets' surging form with a deep young core led by Alperen Şengün and Jabari Smith Jr. Recent regular-season clashes, including Lakers' March win fueled by Dončić's 40 points, underscore stylistic balance favoring a protracted series. A swift Dončić return could shorten it via Lakers dominance; prolonged absence risks Rockets extending play through momentum.
