This market will resolve to “Over” if more than 5.5 games are played during the 2026 NHL Playoffs Second Round series between the Carolina Hurricanes and Philadelphia Flyers. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “Under”. If a partial series is played and not completed by May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve according to the number of games played. If the 2026 NHL Playoffs are cancelled, postponed after May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Traders view the Hurricanes-Flyers second-round series as a coinflip for exceeding 5.5 games, balancing Carolina's elite penalty kill and forecheck—bolstered by a 4-0 sweep of Ottawa—against Philadelphia's gritty momentum from rallying to eliminate Pittsburgh in six, capped by Dan Vladar's 42-save shutout in Game 6 overtime. Historical closeness defines the matchup, with Carolina's 3-0-1 regular-season edge featuring no regulation wins, all decided in extra time or shootouts. Injury uncertainties linger for Hurricanes forward Nikolaj Ehlers (lower-body) and defenseman Alexander Nikishin, potentially causing rust after four days' rest, while Flyers' underdog resilience on the road could extend the series; a dominant Hurricanes Game 1 win tips toward under, but Philadelphia stealing one favors over.
