Gamrot, rebounding from a submission loss to Charles Oliveira in his prior outing, neutralized Ribovics' knockout power and recent decision wins over Daniel Zellhuber and Elves Brener by dominating on the ground after a competitive striking exchange. No weigh-in issues or injury concerns disrupted camps, with Gamrot's top-10 ranking, reach advantage, and control time historically pressuring strikers like Ribovics in the lightweight division. Post-fight, Gamrot called out Diego Lopes, signaling title aspirations.
