This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 WNBA Defensive Player of the Year Award. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by WNBA rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 WNBA season is cancelled, postponed after October 7, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from the Women’s National Basketball Association; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Gabby Williams leads trader consensus at 54.5% implied probability as the primary perimeter stopper and defensive catalyst for the Golden State Valkyries, who hold the WNBA’s top defensive rating and allow the fewest points per game. Her elite steal rate and frequent assignments against opposing stars have anchored the unit through the late season. Angel Reese sits at 34.9% on the strength of league-leading rebounding, top defensive win shares, and high steal totals that have lifted the Atlanta Dream to fourth in defensive efficiency. Three-time winner A’ja Wilson trails sharply at 3.4% despite strong block and rebound numbers, as the Las Vegas Aces’ team defense has not matched prior years. Lower-priced names such as Breanna Stewart, Alanna Smith, and Napheesa Collier reflect solid individual contributions but lack comparable team context or recent impact.
