Pre-match trader consensus heavily favored the experienced German veteran—ranked higher on the WTT standings with a perfect head-to-head record, including a prior WTT Contender quarterfinal win—over Pavade's recent momentum from a dominant 3-0 group stage rout of Maylis Giret. Han's tactical consistency and spin-heavy play overwhelmed Pavade's aggressive style early. With official ITTF results posted, no realistic injury, withdrawal, or protest scenarios remain to alter resolution.
