Latest National Weather Service and ensemble model runs point to a highest temperature in Seattle on September 7 near the upper 60s to low 70s, aligning with the market’s tight clustering around 68–73°F. Southwesterly flow and increasing cloud cover are expected to limit daytime heating below the 72.6°F climatological average, while light winds and marine influence keep conditions stable. Minor model spread—some guidance showing brief clearing and 73–76°F peaks versus others holding in the mid-60s—explains the balanced probabilities across those bins. With resolution just two days away, traders are weighting the most recent official forecast updates and any shifts in 500-mb heights or low-level moisture that could alter maximum readings by a degree or two.
