**Market-implied odds cluster tightly around 31–33°C for Taipei’s September 5 high because official Central Weather Administration guidance and ensemble models show a narrow range of possible maxima under persistent moisture and convective instability.** Northwest winds and high humidity favor scattered showers and thunderstorms that can limit afternoon solar heating, while brief breaks in cloud cover allow brief warming to the upper 20s or low 30s Celsius. Recent heavy-rain advisories and the influence of distant tropical moisture underscore forecast spread, with numerical guidance diverging on exact timing and intensity of convection. Traders therefore assign comparable probabilities across the 31–33°C band, reflecting both the typical early-September baseline near 30°C and the realistic potential for modest upward or downward revisions as new model runs and CWA updates arrive before resolution.
