This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the London City Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 29 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eglc If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Persistent mild, unsettled conditions driven by southwesterly flow and widespread cloud/rain are keeping the overnight minimum near 17°C, aligning with the market's strongest consensus at that level.** Official Met Office guidance for 29 August shows a daytime maximum of 22°C and nighttime minimum of 17°C under cloudy skies with periods of rain and possible thunderstorms. Multiple model outputs (including GFS-based and high-resolution runs) cluster overnight lows between 16–17°C, as persistent cloud cover and high humidity suppress radiative cooling. Southwesterly winds around 10–15 mph further moderate temperatures by advecting milder maritime air. This setup follows a recent stretch of above-average August conditions across southern England, with limited clear-sky nights that would otherwise allow deeper cooling. Resolution hinges on the precise minimum recorded at official stations such as Heathrow; any last-minute forecast shift toward clearer breaks could nudge the low toward 16°C, while heavier rain and stronger winds would reinforce the 17°C outcome.
