The resolution source for this market will be the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Total Rainfall (mm)" figure for all days in April 2026 under the "Daily Extract" at the https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm link once figures are finalized for the specified range. If the reported data falls exactly between two brackets, this market will resolve to the higher bracket. Any revisions to precipitation recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Hong Kong Observatory's finalized monthly weather summary, released around April 30, 2026, recorded total rainfall of 160.4 mm at the Observatory station for April, placing it squarely in the 160-170 mm range and driving trader consensus to full certainty on this outcome. This figure reflects scattered showers from troughs of low pressure, including 45.1 mm on April 5 and heavier falls exceeding 50 mm on Hong Kong Island on April 29, amid an exceptionally warm month. With data derived from official rain gauges and no revisions announced as of early May, the market pricing embodies skin-in-the-game confidence in this measurement; realistic challenges would require an unprecedented data correction or audit, which historical precedents show is rare for finalized summaries.
