The selection notably excludes every Real Madrid player for the first time, favoring depth in midfield with Rodri, Pedri, Gavi and Martín Zubimendi alongside versatile defenders such as Marc Cucurella and Pau Cubarsí. With the official submission deadline to FIFA now passed, recent club form, fitness updates from top European leagues and positional balance under the current manager shaped the roster, leaving limited scope for last-minute changes ahead of the tournament opener.
