Current National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a high near 64°F for Chicago on September 23, driven by persistent northeasterly flow off Lake Michigan, extensive cloud cover, and recent rainfall that has suppressed daytime warming below the 73°F seasonal average. This cool pattern supports the market's tight clustering around 62–67°F outcomes, with 64–65°F holding the highest implied probability. Minor differences among ensemble runs center on exact cloud timing and wind strength, which could nudge the daily maximum between adjacent bins, while longer-range shifts remain unlikely before resolution. Updated NWS briefings and morning model cycles will provide the final data points for traders.
