Recent National Weather Service point forecasts and ensemble guidance for San Francisco on September 24 indicate a daytime high in the low-to-mid 70s, shaped by moderate westerly onshore flow that promotes marine air advection and limits surface heating beneath partial cloud cover. This setup aligns with typical late-September conditions influenced by the Pacific high and relatively cool nearshore sea surface temperatures. Model spreads arise mainly from variations in cloud timing, boundary-layer mixing, and any temporary clearing that could allow brief additional warming. With leading market outcomes clustered tightly, traders are pricing the inherent uncertainty in short-range mesoscale details ahead of the next model update cycle.
