Persistent thunderstorm activity driven by tropical moisture and sea-breeze convergence is capping Miami highs near 85–87°F on September 23, aligning with National Weather Service and model consensus showing 76/87°F under 60–90% storm chances. Afternoon cloud cover and rainfall typically suppress peaks below clear-sky potential, keeping the market's leading 86–87°F bin (41% implied probability) favored over warmer 88–89°F outcomes. Late-September climatology supports mid-80s maxima, with limited model spread and no heat dome or drier air mass indicated in the short-term forecast. Updated NHC and local guidance on storm timing will refine exact daily highs ahead of resolution.
