Trader consensus on Polymarket implies a 35.5% probability for Chicago's median home value below $336,000 on April 30 per the Parcl Labs Sales Price Index, driven by March data signaling decelerating momentum despite year-over-year gains. Redfin reported median sale prices up 5.4% to $411,000 with 50 days on market, but Realtor.com noted flat median list prices at $354,500, reflecting buyer caution amid mortgage rates above 6.5% and low inventory constraining sales volume. Zillow's March ZHVI for Chicago held near $317,000-$345,000 regionally with modest 0.8% month-over-month national growth, positioning lower bins as leaders in this closely contested market ahead of daily Parcl updates and resolution.
