Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts indicate a cool northeasterly flow behind Sunday’s frontal passage will set the overnight minimum in Central Park near 58–62°F on September 21. Multiple model runs converge on a low around 60°F under mostly cloudy skies and 10–15 mph northerly winds, supporting the market’s heaviest volume on the 60–63°F bins. The 24-hour period ends before any diurnal rebound, and climatological norms for mid-September place the average minimum near 61°F, leaving little room for warmer outcomes unless steering currents shift markedly. Updated model guidance and official NWS briefings remain the key near-term catalysts.
