Just 24 hours prior, China survived a tense semi-final scare against France, securing a 3-2 victory, while Japan comfortably beat Chinese Taipei 3-0; however, Japan's core of Tomokazu Harimoto, Sora Matsushima, and Shunsuke Togami has struggled against China's top tier, as seen in Wang Chuqin's recent 4-2 Asian Cup final win over Harimoto. This best-of-five singles format underscores China's historical dominance as reigning champions, driving trader consensus to near-certainty. Realistic shifts could stem from multiple upsets, sudden injuries, or fatigue, though such scenarios remain highly improbable given China's roster superiority.
