Chris Rodesch enters the Pozoblanco Challenger round of 32 as the clear favorite against Mert Alkaya, driven by his higher ATP ranking near 173 versus Alkaya's position around 332 and stronger recent form on the Challenger circuit. The 6'6" Luxembourg native has captured multiple titles this season, including Oeiras, while building on a successful college career at Virginia with consistent hard-court results. Alkaya, a lower-ranked right-hander, lacks comparable momentum or notable recent victories at this level. Their prior head-to-head favored Rodesch, and the hard-court conditions in Spain align with his power-serving style and experience. No reported injuries or withdrawals affect the matchup two days out, leaving ranking gap, form differential, and physical advantages as the primary drivers of trader consensus on the outcome.
