The five-match Women's T20I series between South Africa and India kicks off April 17 at Kingsmead, Durban, serving as vital preparation for the 2026 ICC Women's T20 World Cup where both sides share a group. Hosts South Africa, ranked No. 5, face world No. 3 India without star all-rounder Marizanne Kapp, sidelined by illness rehab, leading to debutant Tebogo Macheke's inclusion and Eliz-Mari Marx replacing Masabata Klaas. Recent head-to-heads remain competitive, with mixed results from 2024 encounters like India's 10-wicket win and South Africa's narrow victories. Durban pitches favor batting and pace, with dew a night-game factor; toss and early momentum could sway the opener before shifts to Johannesburg and Benoni.
