Mercedes holds a commanding lead in the 2026 F1 Constructors’ Championship through superior early-season pace and consistent double-points finishes from Kimi Antonelli and George Russell, amassing roughly 425 points to Ferrari’s 338 after multiple grands prix. The team capitalized on the new power unit regulations with strong qualifying and race results, including eight victories, while rivals encountered development and reliability hurdles. Ferrari has narrowed the gap via targeted upgrades and Lewis Hamilton’s contributions, yet remains well behind. McLaren and Red Bull trail further despite occasional strong showings. Scenarios that could alter the outcome include sustained Mercedes reliability issues, accelerated Ferrari or McLaren chassis and engine progress, or a string of non-finishes that compress the points margin over the remaining calendar. Trader consensus reflects this established dominance while acknowledging the season’s length.
