NEA advisories highlighted increased convective activity in the early May inter-monsoon period, with cloud cover and 48.5 mm rainfall suppressing solar heating below recent April peaks of 35.5°C at stations like Paya Lebar. Historical May climatology shows daily highs clustering around 31–33°C, aligning with this positioning. Realistic challenges include a late data revision from peripheral stations like Admiralty (peaking near 35°C midday but moderated), though final NEA validations rarely shift post-initial reports; expect climate bulletin confirmation by mid-month.
