Rising memory and storage costs driven by surging AI demand are the main catalyst pushing trader expectations higher for the iPhone 18 Pro price. Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed price increases are unavoidable, while supply-chain analysts from TechInsights, TrendForce, and others project a $150–300 hike to preserve margins, pointing to a likely starting price of $1,249–$1,399 versus the iPhone 17 Pro’s $1,099. Multiple Chinese leakers and reports from Ming-Chi Kuo and Jeff Pu reinforce this outlook, citing bill-of-materials jumps of 25–38%. The September 9 launch event will deliver the final numbers, with the simultaneous foldable iPhone Ultra adding further pricing complexity.
