This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the London City Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 25 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=eglc To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent forecasts from the Met Office and AccuWeather indicate London’s minimum temperature on August 25 will likely settle in the 15–18°C range, driven by persistent high pressure maintaining a mild southerly airflow and limiting nocturnal radiative cooling. This setup follows a summer of above-average UK temperatures, with minimums running 1.5°C warmer than the 1991–2020 baseline through mid-August. Model consensus shows limited cloud cover and light winds overnight, supporting gradual cooling to the mid-teens rather than sharper drops, while the absence of incoming Atlantic fronts reduces the chance of colder air advection. Trader probabilities cluster around 16–17°C because these align with ensemble guidance and historical analogs for late-August nights under similar synoptic patterns, with only modest upside risk from any unexpected clear-sky enhancement of cooling. Updated model runs and official briefings over the next 48 hours will refine these implied odds ahead of the daily minimum observation.
