This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Paris-Le Bourget Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 27 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=lfpb If NOAA data is unavailable or missing for the observation period, Weather Underground will be used as the secondary resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Current forecasts from Météo-France, the Met Office, and global models (GFS) indicate a minimum temperature in Paris of roughly 17–20 °C on 27 August 2026, with most guidance centering on 18–19 °C.** This consensus drives the market’s heavy weighting toward 19 °C (64.5 %) and 18 °C (21.5 %). The leading scientific factors are a warm, moist southerly flow, extensive cloud cover, and scattered showers or thunderstorms that limit nocturnal radiational cooling. These conditions prevent the strong surface inversion and clear-sky heat loss that would otherwise produce lower minima closer to the August climatological average of ~15–16 °C. Model runs show only modest overnight drops once daytime highs reach 28–29 °C, keeping the lowest reading near 19 °C under the prevailing pressure and humidity regime. Recent developments reinforcing this outcome include consistent overnight model guidance and early-morning observations around 19–20 °C, with no incoming cold front or clearing skies to alter the trajectory. Traders are therefore pricing in the narrow range supported by the latest forecast updates rather than historical extremes or outlier scenarios.
