This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 American League Platinum Glove award for the 2026 MLB Season. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLB rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLB season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Baseball; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Bobby Witt Jr. anchors trader sentiment for the AL Platinum Glove as the defending winner and shortstop whose elite range, low error totals, and outs-above-average leadership have carried into the 2026 season. His consistent Gold Glove-caliber play at a premium position gives him a clear edge in the SABR Defensive Index and fan-voting pool that determines the overall league honoree. Boston outfielders Wilyer Abreu, Ceddanne Rafaela, and Cody Bellinger sit next in implied probability on the strength of top AL DRS marks through late July, while catchers like Dillon Dingler and infielders such as Alex Bregman or Nathaniel Lowe trail as positional standouts without matching Witt’s cross-position impact. Midseason defensive leaderboards and injury-free playing time remain the primary variables that could shift the ordering before final Gold Glove announcements.
