Post-UFC 330, where Islam Makhachev defended his welterweight title with a unanimous decision over Ian Machado Garry, recent comments from the champion have shaped trader consensus. Makhachev highlighted Carlos Prates' activity and strong performances as making him the most deserving next challenger, directly boosting Prates to a 65% implied probability. Michael Morales sits at 34% as a noted alternative, while Sean Brady trails at 10.5% amid a less active recent stretch. Other potential opponents remain at 50% or lower pending official matchmaking. These developments reflect ongoing contender activity levels and stylistic considerations in the welterweight division heading into late 2026.
